Each of them has its own specific properties, but all of them perfectly moisturize the hair. Thanks to our advice, you will avoid the use of products packed with unnecessary chemicals. We will also explain what vegetable oils are and how to use them.

Vegetable oils and hair care

Oils are ideal for people with dry or damaged hair, in order to nourish them after the summer period or as part of regular care. People with oily hair should rather avoid it. People with dry and split ends can use them from the middle of the hair length.

Sesame oil

Hindus use sesame oil to massage their body and hair. In the latter case, it allows them to avoid baldness and dandruff. Due to the fact that the oil is very greasy, it is recommended for hair and scalp massage only for people with dry hair. This oil is a powerful antioxidant, rich in vitamins and minerals, and has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties.

Linseed oil

The high content of Omega-3 fatty acids in linseed oil allows you to nourish and deeply moisturize your hair. Therefore, in addition to consuming it, it is also worth using it topically. Among many other valuable ingredients, linseed oil also contains vitamin E, vegetable glue, protein and iodine.

Due to the fact that it does not have a very oily consistency, it can be used for all hair types. We especially recommend it for the care of ends with a tendency to damage and splitting.

Almond oil

Almond oil is one of the best known and most used oils. The main reason is that it is one of the most economical oils, which does not mean that it has poorer properties. It is ideal especially for dry and brittle, dry and dull hair , as it perfectly smoothes and normalizes them.

Neem Oil (from Indian Honey)

This oil is not as famous as its predecessors. However, it has many valuable properties for the health of your hair. The tree from which this oil is derived has been used for centuries in traditional Indian natural medicine – Ayurveda – with great success. Indian honey oil is more and more often found in herbal shops and those with natural products. It contains plant sterols and essential oils such as omega-3, omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids, as well as azadirachtin, a limonoid that is a particularly effective germicide. Neem helps remove dry hair, itching, dandruff, psoriasis, hair loss, lice, etc.

Coconut oil

Natural coconut oil, an oil with a unique aroma and delicate texture, is the secret of many Indian women who use it to keep their hair healthy and beautiful. You can use it on the hair and scalp before washing, massaging it in until absorbed. It is very useful in combating dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis and itching as it has antibacterial properties. If your hair is very greasy, you can use its substitute – coconut milk.

How to apply them

Apply the selected oil to dry hair from the middle of the length to the ends, or along the entire length of the hair if it is very dry. Then, wash your hair as usual.

People whose ends are prone to split ends can also apply a few drops of the oil to their hair after shampooing. For people with very dry and dull hair, we recommend placing two or three drops in the hollow of your hand. Rubbing with your hands, evenly distribute the oil over their surface. Then comb your hair and massage the oil into it.

An alternative for people with oily hair is to mix the oil with the natural aloe vera gel in equal proportions so that the natural mask is not too greasy and at the same time allows for in-depth hydration and nourishment of the hair.

You can also add oils to masks, shampoos, or natural hair dyes such as those based on henna.
